Every so often, Mother Nature reminds us of our tenuous location relative to water – because of this, the region is slow to drain whenever we are inundated with massive rains. Last night was one of those reminders.

C and I took the dog out to the lake yesterday and noticed how high the water was – this certainly did not help with drainage of the previous 48 hour deluge. And it looks like we are in for another 24 hours of rain. The annual spring rite of passage; water, water everywhere!

Wear your galoshes today, this isn’t over yet – in fact keep them out until mid-May, Mother Nature will be hanging around for awhile…
